There are always a lot of competing activities of course - but perhaps he will drift back in due course.

Re: John Richardson’s artwork in girls’ comics
No need to be honoured Goof - the more the merrier in the comics bloggery game! As you say there isn't much known about him (same for others) but if you could write a bit about what you think about him as an artist, and about the range of work he has done, that is the sort of thing I would be after.

Re: John Richardson’s artwork in girls’ comics
Thank you, Tammyfan. I think I saw this series some time ago when hunting for Happy Days stories, but had forgotten about it. Richardson wasn't the regular artist, but did several numbers as filler. The series ran from 18 March to 5 August 1972, and as far as I can tell, Richardson did four of them...

The art on those is by Terry Aspin, by the way.

Re: Worst problem parents in girls serials
Thank you for the suggestions so far. Now I will share the ones I have been thinking of (long): ... Now for my number 2 "worst": The Harvey parents from "Waves of Fear" (Jinty). https://jintycomic.wordpress.com/2014/09/13/waves-of-fear-1979/ This must rank as the worst emotional reaction from paren...

Hello again from Jenni / comixminx
Hi folks, I have been away for quite a while I know (indeed I wasn't even sure what had happened to give the forum its new look, for quite a while! Was glad to see the post suggesting that people could set themselves up with the theme 'aura' as that has made it look a bit more like its old self... :...

Comics Jam: Preserving British Comics History
Hi all, apologies as I know I have been absent / silent on this forum for a long time. I have had a full-on summer and then segued into a busy time at work (including lots of changes, not all of which feel very comfortable on the receiving end of things). I am surfacing a bit now but am still only d...

Yes, as Col says, it’s already in hand, so no need to worry, Derek - many thanks for the reply in any case.

Buffalo Brave - any scans
I have been contacted again by José Ruiz del Amor in Spain, who is in contact with artist Joan Boix. Boix' first art published abroad (ie out of Spain) was for the British market: "Buffalo Brave" in Wizard. del Amor and Boix are after high-quality scans of the story in question - apparently Boix has...

Re: ADVENTURE AND HIS BROTHERS
I have this morning completed the first stage of my listing of all the serials for boys in the text story papers from DCT, which I started to compile over a week ago, most of which will eventually appear in ADVENTURE AND HIS BROTHERS . Writing the synopses will take a good bit longer, of course, bu...

Re: Does your partner have any interest in your comics?
No complaints at my end of things regarding my partner’s interests in my comics: I can have sensible conversations with him about them, while still being the acknowledged expert in the house :) And on the subject of finding comics while out and about, I just got a copy of the Sandie 1975 annual whil...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans
Right, well here I am, as promised, on the Phoenix's Future Plans thread. I will admit that it does seem to be the most appropriate thread both for my general comments and my more pertinent ones. So now you can all make up your mind in advance whether you are going to read them or not. I've had a b...
