A Tiger from 1983. I thought I'd gone through my entire collection to see what was missing, but must have missed these - only discovered them as I'm reading Billy's Boots along with the just started Tough Game and Sintek. Missing 2 from 1983, managed to get one from eBay but naturally the other one I need isn't listed.

Went to WHSmith for this week's Beano and noticed they had the Simpsons Comics Summer Bumper Pack (containing issues 257-259, Dec 2016 - Feb 2017) out, so I picked that up too.

114 Commandos all needed so loads of gaps filled......I'm getting there!
Fury #2 with free gift - Marvel 1977 - I think that means that I have every 1970s Marvel freebie that came with a #1 or #2 (I have all the #3 gifts as well except for the Fury poster which I can get fairly easily).
Wild West Weekly #1-26 - 1938 - Amalgamated

I went to a local car boot sale and picked up a random batch of sixteen issues of Look and Learn. Imagine my surprise when I found that I had picked up issue1 for a very reasonable price.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Great to met you at last, Brian, and thanks for buying the comic. I'd sold out by the end of Saturday! I still have about 70 at home for mail order but will be doing a second printing soon.big bad bri wrote:not today but friday bought combat colin 1 from the great man himself lew.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I was away from my table for 45 minutes doing a portfolio review, and also stretched my legs a few times to have a walk around. Much as I enjoyed the show it's not healthy to sit still for 9 hours a day. Good to see you when I did anyway, Bri!big bad bri wrote:It was great to meet you too Lew as i've been a fan of your stuff since Oink days and tom thug was always one of my favs,i did walk past your table sunday but you must have gone to lunch.Lew Stringer wrote:Great to met you at last, Brian, and thanks for buying the comic. Yeah, I did a panel on the Saturday, which was enjoyable. In the end I did the signings at my table, rather than in the signings section, as I didn't want to confuse people as to where to find me.big bad bri wrote:I realised after i posted lew you was doing talks as well

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Very happy to receive all 4 sets of free gifts that came with Action #3. The sets are still in their mounts which I don't think I've seen before along with the rare envelopes in mint condition.
I've sold individual sets of these cards for £50 a time so really chuffed to get all these sets in this condition for less than that!
