Borrowed not bought - I spotted a recent-ish collection of X-Men in the library yesterday and borrowed it. Not very exciting, the glory days of me reading everything to do with the X-Men have long gone I fear! Oh well.
jintycomic.wordpress.com/ Excellent and weird stories from the past - with amazing art to boot.

Thanks to these links, I ended up having a little wander around Ebay and I found a lot of approximately 100 War and Battle Picture Libraries on sale in London. The seller had them up for collection only but after a chat he agreed to post them up to me as the alternative was them going to the recycling centre.

One thing really intrigued me and I know that Adam already knows what it is. But here is a picture of them for those of you that are intrigued. Let's see who spots the reason that they interested me so... :D

OOOH-ERR, missus, just look at that. Australian? S.A.? But it's a sum I don't recognise from other commonwealth comics. No, I'm wrong. Too late for an Aus. comic.
Couldn't be, could it?

Well, the R on the price tickets doesn't stand for "Ruddy Nora, Sheila! Would you look at the price of that!"

 Now I wonder which country could have a currency that starts with R and has cents too?

At last !!

I've been after Beano 1268 for ages, just managed to get it beating the the next highest bidder by 4p. I'd put a link up but I still can't do it properly. Worth having a look at it though, fantastic DD Watkins cover.

That's weird, I distinctly remember ordering the book plate edition of One Eyed Jack because I thought it was hardback.
