The Dandy - free gift in Kellog's Golden Grahams c.1990

Not sure if this is of any interest to you folks, but I've recently updated my website with scanned images of a miniature copy of 'The Dandy' (we're talking 2 inches big) that Kellogg's Golden Grahams gave away around 20 years ago.

'fraid not. I'm pretty sure it was a selection of comics, and I have a faint dodgy memory that one might have been Topper.

I was half hoping someone here would be able to fill in the gaps. I've googled Dandy stuff and Kellogg's stuff, all to no avail.

I remember begging mum to get a certain type of cereal because a certain mini-comic was in it. It might actually have been Sonic The Comic.

Impossible if it was 1990, Sonic the Comic didn't exist until 1992. If Sonic was included, then either Toby got the date wrong or they ran a second set later on.

Nahhh i meant i could remember some small comic in a cerial box. It was probably a totally different cereal, in a totally different promotion, in a totally different year!

Though memories are coming back and i remember something beano related that i begged mum to buy a certain cereal for. Mini statues, perhaps?

Seeing that Dinah Mo was john Dallas, and there was James the world's worst schoolboy in it, I was thinking it may have been around 1992. However, Sonic the Comic actually came to being in May 1993. In 1990 however the most Sonic was was a picture on the side of the touring van for the Japanese band Dreams come true, who composed the music for sonic 1. Sonic 1 Came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991.

Are you American? There's no such thing as the Genesis in the UK, you mean the Mega Drive.

Nah, I'm just used to saying genesis 'cos I watch a lot of reviews on Youtube, and most of the reviewers are american. Most of the time these reviews weren't about sonic 1, but Sonic Next-Gen and Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis (for GBA). Of course these were just saying about how horrible the two games are. They mention sonic 1 for the Genesis, for example, one person said that it was an insult to name Sonic Next-Gen "Sonic the Hedgehog" after the Genesis original.

Hi folks
I'm new here and I joined because I was trying to find out a bit more about the Kellogg's mini comics that were given away with Golden Crackles some time in the 1990s.

It seems though that I may have info for you. I have all six in mint condition in their sealed bags so I'll post a pic of them for you. I also have five that are opened and read (but I can't find them at the moment). I do remember keeping them because I figured that one day they may become collectors items.
