I view destroying a readable rare comic far more horrible than trying to sell it.

same for me they are very disappointing but i know it was different times back then and i was never into text stories anyway and skip them when reprinted. But saying that if i won the euromillions jackpot i would love to own the whole set.if never to be read like most of my comics

Pretty much though it also had the awesome Daleks strip on the back cover for the first 100 or so issues.

£1700 is less than £10 each for a near on full run from #1, plus one has the 3D glasses free gift with it (which is far rarer than the gift for #1), though #1 itself isn't the best condition.

All in all I'd say that's an ok pick up for the buyer and an ok sell for the vendor. If you bought them to split and sell individually I think you could make a decent profit over a period of time, but you'd also have to check every single one for coupon cutouts which are extremely common in TV21s.

Seems to have been a lot of them on eBay over the past few months. If you're willing to pay the price then getting a full run really isn't very hard.

I noticed an American seller with a TV Tornado annual for about £600.00.

Just double checked and its Mile High comics and the have several Gerry Anderson annuals for £601.00 each.

No, it also featured Burke's Law, My Favourite Martian, The Munsters, Get Smart, The Daleks, and other non-Anderson strips over early years. Even more as time went on, such as The Saint, Department S, Land of the Giants etc. There are a few examples on my blog. Here's issue one:

It's not that I found them disappointing, far from it, it's just that my curiosity was sated, and nowadays I'm not so interested in reading kids' comics anyway, I just like them for the art and the historical interest.
Is it weird to have no interest in keeping or collecting free gifts?

Bri, are they offering free postage, because, if they are, the postage is absorbed into the final price (so that they can keep their perfect record.

This is the main reason why I won't sell anything on eBay anymore. :(

Hopefully no-one looking to spend that much money on such an important comic will be fooled into thinking it's an original #1. I don't need #4453 otherwise I'd make an offer of 50p!
