How are UK comics quoted values determined?

Talk here about just about anything associated with British comics or story papers and the industry that does not fit in any other forum.
There are separate fora open to registered members for discussing specific comics, artists, websites etc.

I made a very short and non-exhaustive list below. I don't know where to put it on a more permanent basis. The reference section maybe?

Websites and/or Publications of reference for the quoted values of comic books.
The resources listed below can be used by collectors to determine the value of a comic book.
- Ebay comics dealer Phil Shrimpton:

- Comic Price Guide, for UK and US comics (paid subscription):

-The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide (US comics):

- 30th Century Comics, a shop specialised in vintage UK and US comics:

It's worth pointing out that Phil's Comics, for some reason, attract higher than usual prices and that 30th C Comics are retail prices. Fine for insurance purposes but not for re-selling.
