Flintlock comic - Kickstarter

Post by Richard S. »

This looks great and I'm backing it on Kickstarter - just spreading the word, why not have a look?

Looks like comcs I would enjoy. Haven't a clue how to simply buy any of the titles shown. As someone who doesn't understand kickstarter or want to be involved in it, there seems no info on purchasing even a digital version - which would suit me perfectly.
I've seen publicity for this company previously, but as I couldn't figure out how to get a copy, I soon forgot about it.

It's a Kickstarter campaign that many small publishers use now to finance their comics up front. You pledge whatever amount you wish, and it's deducted from your bank account on publication, then the comic is posted to you. On the right hand side you'll see a list of what 'rewards' you get depending on how much you pledge. As it says, £3 will get you a digital edition emailed to you. Hope that helps.

I'm sure copies will also be available to buy, once it's published, directly from the publisher's website or from him at the various conventions he exhibits at, or from some comic shops that support indie comics.

Thanks Lew. However, when I clicked the link and noted that there was a offer of a digital edition of the 2 previously published and now out of print Dick Turpin comics, I did despair. As well as offering them to backers of the project, why not put the digital editions up for sale at a bit higher price? Seems like a way to avoid making money.
I'll wait to see what happens with what appear to be good looking comics.

Sorry, I'm not following you. If you back Flintlock for just £3, and add on the price of the two digital Dick Turpin comics you'll have all three for £10 sent to your inbox. Why would you want to pay more just to have them without Flintlock?

Richard S - thanks for posting, I hope you enjoy the book when you receive it.

Paw Broon - some of the titles you are interested in are available digitally via DriveThruComics if that helps. I tend to focus on print so digital editions are always a bit of an afterthought. I'll look at having digital options put up on the website when it gets the next tweak though!

Cheers all, and any Flintlock related questions send them my way!
