First Desperate Dan annual

Post by koollectablz »

In the spirit of the member that very kindly offered the first Skipper Book for free to read...

I've got an all complete but poor copy of the 1950's Desperate Dan book knocking around if anyone fancies it to read - some of the best ever Dan strips by Watkins appear.

First member with over ten posts to PM me their address can have it.

I really concur with that point, as a pure readable annual I actually think it's one of the best ever published. When I first got a copy many years ago I'd never read ongoing Dan strips before and some of these go over ten pages. Really knocked my socks off.

This Dudley Watkins guy was a proper talent... I wonder if he ever became well known.. :notworthy:
