'26 pigs' is worth a look if you are seeking specific issue numbers. [of many UK comics].....I like E-BAY for the sheer diversity of scope, however......variable, but sometimes surprizing.....

THE ENTIRE '2000 AD' back catalogue [from prog 1-now] and many offshoots included were offered for 1000 quid the lot last week [pick-up only].....assuming the quality of condition was OK, this wasn't bad value , I thought, considering progs 1-3 often go for 450 quid combined.........the item has closed...anyone notice the outcome?

IF I had the loot, I may have been tempted.......31 years supply of '2000 AD' would have kept me going for a while.......darn this credit crunch/inflation etc...no wonder folks escape into the world of comics....[!]

The seller should be happy with that. I only think that he may have been a tad disappointed that he never got to the magic £200 mark.

I have ' 2000 AD' progs [1-3] marked down as £150 APIECE, so this latest transaction sounds about right, media-watchers....

And to add to the silly prices or the amount that people pay, take a look at this first Victor Annual, which I have to admit looks to be in almost perfect nick, but it's going for over £100!! :o
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :middle:uk

Now as a Victor fan, I am gobsmacked to see this Annual break the £100 barrier for the first time that I have ever seen and there is still over 40 hrs to go. How high can it get? But I truly could never afford to pay that much for it.
