Hope you've all been reading his weekly comic strip Fresco..
http://www.jeoliver.co.uk/

He is doing a Dr Who spoof at the moment.....Dr True...
Its worth reading....at the website you can read it in order...it helps to keep the story clear.

Jack is a friend of mine.....got a super Birthday card from him today...:)

His work really stands out in a comic......and is super at spoofs and words...

His colouring of the strip has made it very vibrant...

The best of his comic page work for me is Cliff Hanger........
more interactive strips with the reader involved is what Jack always did.......from sending in ideas for the spys...working out puzzles..lots of puzzles...for competitions...hunting out objects in his comic page...like Warthog head...box with handle...etc...a bit like Kev F is doing with hiding his signature on each page..(sometimes I can't find it  )

If you've seen my tribute website.....you'll see what an essentric he is in a fun way.........his bedroom has loads of shelves all the way round with many different puzzle and board games...you could say Jack loves puzzles:).....we chatted for hours and hours...read what happened that day at my website...

Jack did draw for The Dandy once ...briefly..my dog woozy snoozy...early 1970's

I think Jacks unique, style and humour would fit in The Dandy today...

Cheers to Jsck

Just got back from Jack and Liz wedding....

Jack wore a green jacket...a Marvel superhero tie and bright red shoes 8)

The other funny thing was the wedding march as he came out of the church...there were many different versions of The lion sleeps tonight 'Jack favourite song'

The Andy Capp in the paper today had a wedding theme in honour of Jack and Liz getting married.

I was 10 minutes late getting there......I went to Bexley Heath high street instead of Bexley High street...and tons of traffic...travelling from Guildford it took me over 2 hours to get there  on the way home it was easy...just over an hour...

overall it was great to be invited......Jack and Liz came to our wedding party 2 years ago 19th March 2005........... 8)

Heres the wedding card I did...with Robin Good...The Champ...Vid Kid...The Teeny Sweeny..Cliff Hanger...Master Mind...My Snoozy dog Snoozy...Bones the wonder dog...Blunder girl...

Thanks for pointing us towards that link Peter. Jack's one of the best cartoonists this country has produced.

Back in 1981 I was buying Buster every week just for his Master Mind strip. (I have them somewhere; cut out and collected.) Inventive work, and a great style. It's exactly what comics need today.

Jack has cancer...he is fighting it and is supported by his new wife..

it is very sad.....and I often think of him and pray for him.

On his wedding day he looked very unwell though kept his humour and enjoyed seeing all his family and friends...

Its his birthday on 19th June ....at the website

http://www.jeoliver.co.uk/
you could send him a card.......by email...

Jack and Liz came to my wedding party 2 years ago......it was great having them both there...
When I met him at his home we talked for hours and hours...great chatting about comics and cartooning...

Cheers to Jack and Liz

I just found this Champ page, which includes a cheeky cameo appearance by a comic superstar.

That teacher would look a lot like the Bash Street one if he had glasses...
