Combat Colin Concept Art (Lew Stringer)

Here's a peice of Lew Stringer concept art done for the 2017 Combat Colin issue #3 reprint. The character first appeared in the UK version of the Transformers comic in the late 1980s.

Ironically, I got this when I recently sourced some Buster art including a signed comic direct from Lew Stringer. And on opening the package delivered found this robot sketch with annotation on a backboard of an artist notepad used to keep the art safe. A nice surprise.

Thanks Richard. S. Oddly enough , I was literally seconds away from tearing this to pieces before realising what it was.I only didn't because I was paranoid I'd tear the art so took my time peeling the layers away that were taped together. Close call.
