Well known in comic quarters for his work in The Rover and The Victor (Braddock) and talented illustrator of over 100 children's books, he was especially a gifted landscape painter renowned throughout Scotland and the UK.
He was also very proud of being the 'hand' of J Campbell Kerr, producing over 1,000 painted covers for The People's Friend.
He leaves behind a daughter, Deborah, and son-in-law, Mark.
Tragically, his death follows that of his wife, Margaret, who passed away only three weeks ago. May they rest in peace together.
