Wow, thanks for that Steve! I hadn't seen that letter or the photo before! I see they used a quote from my article (the one about Robert Maxwell) in it!

In other Flook news, a new story "Flook and the Peasants Revolt" starts today on the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Flook-by ... 8764250002
This is from 1975 with Barry Took on writing duties.

I think I've got a small booklet which collected 'Flook and the Peasants' Revolt'. It's a shame they didn't make such collections an annual event - like Giles or the Fosdyke Saga.

Yeah, that's the book I'm uploading from. I agree it's a real shame that there weren't regular yearly collections - You'd think they would have had the same level of appeal as the Fosdyke Saga at least. There were only 6 Flook book collections ever published in total, intermittently over 25 years - and most of them from early on when the strip was more aimed at children. I believe "Peasant's Revolt" was the last collection ever published.

Of course, there were some nice Flook tales every year in the Daily Mail Children's Annuals for quite a while.

Regarding the article, it's frustrating to think that I may have seen Wally performing with the Feetwarmers without even realizing it!

Hi Phil, don't suppose you know when the Daily Mail Children's annuals stopped running Flook stories?

I have a comparable story with seeing Wally live.. I missed a gig of his by about half an hour in a Camden pub in 2010. Everyone was sitting around saying how great he'd been. Was so annoyed!
