RIP Andy Hutton
Re: RIP Andy Hutton
Sad to hear of the death of Andy Hutton. Andy is best remembered for his work on the Beano and most particularly for the artwork he provided for the multi-series 'Q Bikes'.
He was a third generation Beano artist in that just as Paddy Brennan had been employed to replace Dudley Watkins and lessen his workload Andy had been drafted in to ease the workload of Paddy Brennan. His art style being very similar to Paddy's in many ways.
He worked for the Beano for seventeen years and along the way he tried his hand at providing artwork for a good number of the Beano's adventure strip mainstays including General Jumbo, the Iron Fish, Jack Flash, Wild Boy and most tellingly Red Rory of the Eagles as well as his work on the Q Bikes.
