Angel Nadal's distinctive comic work gave me a great deal of pleasure as a kid with his definitive version of Buster as well as his work on 'The Nutts' in Valiant and if ever there is mention of Fleetway's best comic artists he would certainly be in my top five.

I genuinely admired his drawing style, even preferring his BUSTER character artwork over the equally memorable Reg Parlett version. Later versions of Buster were good but very different in style: if Chas Grigg gave us the definitive Korky, then Nadal gave us the definitive version of the BUSTER character---in my view, at least.

He was also great at depicting action and impact: his material was very animated cartoon-like.

Buster comic in those days [the 60s/early 70s ] excelled in providing an outlet for many really good Spanish-Latino-Mediterranean artists, I thought.
