I've heard via John Freeman that the artist John Gillatt has passed away. A superb artist who mainly worked for Tiger comic on strips such as Jet-Ace Logan, Johnny Cougar, and Billy's Boots. I've posted a tribute to him on my blog:

Very sad to hear. I read the whole of Tiger and Scorcher issues from 1977 early this year and Billy's Boots was a favourite of mine. The problem with growing old is that those who are older tend to die off... naturally. Still, it's sad when it happens. When I was a young boy, I thought that life was there to live for ever... not anymore. I'm far more older and realistic. Enjoy life while you're still in the pink.
