Charlie Grigg on TV

Post by philcom55 »

A nice item on longtime Korky the Cat artist Charlie 'Chas' Grigg takes up the second half of today's 'Midlands Today' regional news programme (though I don't think it'll be on i-player for long).

I have no TV license so sadly I am not entitled to see this: shame, for once there seems to be something actually worth watching!

Too bad--------

Alas stuff like this is still all too rare on the 'proper' channels.

Top artist, tough, by any standards.

Charlie, Watkins and Paddy Brennan were the absolute Masters at illustration-like comics fare at one time in my view.

Fortunately the item mentions the possibility of an upcoming book about Charlie, so you should hopefully be able to get that when it comes out Rab.

He certainly deserves a full book-length study, Phil, I am delighted he is being recognized by a wider circle.
