Phil Millar

I always liked Phil Millar's quirky style and came across this in a copy of Blighty magazine. He mostly worked for The Sparky and also Buzz but i don't think his work ever appeared in the Beano or Dandy. He drew saucy postcards as Pedro too;

He did lots of work for those "men's mags" of the 1950s. Good to see what he looked like. Thanks, Steve! Really liked his bold brush strokes.

Wee Hi Lo in the first 42 issues of Magic comic in 1939/40 and in Magic Fun Book 1941 and Magic Beano Book 1948. Also appeared as Ho Lummy in the first Beano Book in 1940. Sam the Sandwich Man in Dandy Monster Comic 1941.

I can still remember when I first saw his gag cartoons (probably in Reveille) and thought his signature said Rimcar).
