One of the excellent artists on Commando, Ricardo Garijo, has sadly died aged just 55. There's a very warm tribute to him over on D.C. Thomson's Commando website:

"Need To Know" is actually right at the top of my "to read" pile. Might go and read it right now. Every Commando artist has a distinctive style, when one dies or leaves it's like a part of the comic's history has come to an end (apart from reprints!)

He was one of my favourite Commando artists because of the amount of detail he put into each panel. He must have been a pretty fast worker to turn out 64 pages of that stuff on a regular basis. I was a big fan of Alfredo Alcala for the same reason.
