Current thoughts about The Phoenix

I remember this comic from two years ago, and used to be subscribed to it, but haven't heard much word about it since. What is everyone's current thoughts about the comic? Has it improved? Got worse? Are you tired of it? Do you still enjoy it?

Well, I think this: http://blog.crystal-knights.co.uk/2013/ ... h-phoenix/

Depends what people are expecting from it, I suppose. If older readers (like, er, me, actually) are expecting it to be "another Beano" or "a new Victor", they'll be disappointed.

It's what I throw-awayly called Jamie Smart in that blog post, as 'certian' people seem to blame only him for the Dandy being cancelled.

I don't no why but I thought it was Asda and not Waitrose that sold The Phoenix. No wonder I could never find a copy.

PS What tosh about Jamie. And if DCT thought that, they would never have let him loose on The Beano.

You likely wouldn't have found any copies even if you knew it was Waitrose that (supposedly) sold them!

Some branches have it fairly reliably, though others seem to get a huge stock of one issue, then don't bother selling it for another 10 weeks or so, then get another huge stock. They can't expect to sell 25+ copies of a serial-heavy publication like that!
