My mate Dave used to run to work at faster than light speed! Well. . . It certainly seemed like it!

Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration. Did you know the sound you hear when someone cracks a whip is not the whip itself but the sound of it breaking the sound barrier? Fact.

60 nanoseconds is so short (60 billionths of a second) that it sounds like the margin of error in the speed of light. Have they tied the speed of light down to a precise number of nanometres per nanosecond like the many decimal places of pi?
