TV21 returns with all new issue!

Post by Lew Stringer »

This news should be of interest to just about every fan of British comics. A special edition of TV21 is being produced with all new strips of Gerry Anderson favourites as part of a package with the SUPERMARIONATION blu-Ray release in October.

I can't believe no one here has expressed any interest in the news of TV21 returning for one issue. Perhaps this update, with news of who's contributing, will whet your appetites:

I'm terrified of finding out the price!
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

The absence of any response from me is more a matter of gob-smacked excitement than any lack of interest. It's almost enough to make me want to go out and buy a blue-ray player! This really must be like a dream come true for you Lew: now all you need is for someone to revive Smash! and ask you to draw a new 'Nervs' strip! :)

Well it's only July, Col, and the comic doesn't come out until October, so you've plenty of time to scratch together the few bawbees that you will need. You could always plead poverty and reduce the weekly payment to she-who-must-be-obeyed. If she objects strenuously, then you will have no choice but to cut Karen's housekeeping allowance instead. This is a great opportunity for you to show some personal independence, good practice for you before the national vote.

I do not own or have read any Tv21 comics but i would not buy an incomplete blu ray set just for a comic i would not mind owning maybe if it was the complete series of each show then maybe but i know it would cost the earth ,but even this set with only a few eps will prob be way beyond my means too

I think the idea behind having selected episodes on the discs is to give the impression of an anthology, - a video equivalent of TV21. It's not just that in the package though. It also contains a book, and a blu-ray of the new Supermarionation documentary. So quite a package but, yeah, probably not cheap. We'll find out how much next week.

Well, unless I capture that elusive beast of full-time employment, I am afraid the bawbees will be going on luxuries like food, electric and rent rather than a rather nice comic set which I know I would enjoy. As to personal independence, I manage that most of the time doing that strange thing of job-hunting and exercise!
