Space 1999:Part 3:The Non Look-In Strips: Blam!Ventures

Post by jim244 »

In 2012,Blam! Ventures started releasing digital and print issues of their amazing updated world of Space 1999.
They started with a 2 issue mag named "Awe".
Awe was an adaption of the pilot episode of the television series, using the Charlton comic strip, some art from the Power Records version, combining both and extending it.
Next,Blam did "Aftershock".
This continued the series number (starting at number 3,through to issue 5) and featured a continuation from the "Breakaway" story.
Writer for all 5 issues was Andrew Gaska.
Artist on "Awe" was Gray Morrow (no relation to Paul Morrow!)
Artist on "Aftershock" was John Muir.
The 3rd publication from Blam! was "Space 1999 Classics Remastered".
This ran for 11 issues and featured updated versions of Look-In and Charlton strips.
In 2013 an omnibus edition of classics remastered was released "To Everything That Was".
Later an omnibus of the previous 5 issues was issued "Aftershock and Awe".
