Isle of Wight Comic Con

This is the inaugural event on the Island. Too far away for most of you but temptingly near for me!

http://www.islandcon.co.uk/about/

For those who do intend to attend, you have to try and get over to Ryde as well as there are some great comic related shops there mainly in Union Street.

A couple of months ago, on the Existential Ennui blog, there was a report on second hand bookshops on the Isle Of Wight. Anyone interested can read it at http://www.existentialennui.com/2017/06 ... le-of.html

The whole blog's worth a look if you're interested in SF and/or crime books.

Very! If I can't make the Comic con, I'm thinking of making a day visit to Ryde anyway. There's nothing like those shops in Southampton and I think it will only take 2 hours by boat and bus to get there.
