PM fault - got it...

Post by AndyB »

When you send a pm, or post on a topic that someone is watching, you get an error message like the following:
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 535 Login incorrect -ERR info.comicsuk.co.uk@titus.ebizs.net not present or password incorrect

DEBUG MODE

Line : 132
File : smtp.php
If you can get the smtp problem sorted, I think the pm's might start working again properly!

PM fault - got it...

Post by Al »

I did, but I do not know how to remedy it. I'm open to offers.

I know it's a problem and it IS on my list of things to do, but I'm just too busy with other things at the moment, I'm sorry to say.

I can't believe how hectic life has become. The moment I decide to work on Comics UK V2, things started happening on the home front. All good things I hasten to add, but all just a tad more important than **GULP** British comics

Please forgive me for my lack of devotion to CUK, but these things just happen.

I'm not computer literate enough to suggest any help with the technicalities but what I do is bookmark the forum page. Then, if that debug message comes up I just click on the bookmark and it takes me to the forum page anyway.

Admittedly it's a little more inconvenient, but better than nothing until the problem's solved.

Al

Go into the Administration Panel and into General Admin->Configuration

Change the settings there - change it to not use SMTP and see if that works, if it doesn't, fix the password or login.
