Redtop rag tries to whip up outrage against new Beano strip

Those redtop hacks are at it again...

You can make ANY strip sound worse than it is by describing it in such dull analytical ways. I'm sure that anyone who's actually SEEN Si Co will know it's a genuinely funny strip, highly exaggerated for comic effect that takes it well beyond realism, and therefore beyond offending anyone.

Did they even read the second strip? He was angry because he thought the newsagent had sent the wrong comic, not because he delivered it late! And they never mention Psycho, although Si Co is a play on that word. Anyway, it's a public vote. If they want to get rid of it, all they have to do is submit lots of votes for the other two Comic Idol strips.

And this article isn't in the English version of the paper. If they were that serious about it, I'd have expected it to be reported nationally, not just in Scotland.
