This weeks issue part 2..starting 15th June 2010
the other thread needs to be blocked..those last few comments were not nice..
Anyway heres part 2 on Beano comic this week..
I loved the minnie Jim was great at drawing...every angle used in the panels....the scooter going down the hill then Minnie grabbing the roundabout was great animation...
also its nice seeing Pup Parade much more fun then four jokes being read...I liked it all on one page as the notice board and a chance for readers to send in poems..

Yeah, glad to see that all the Bash Street filler on one page was a permanent change.
Pup Parade was sparsely coloured, so I think that this version is from a Bash Street Kids Annual.

I think it's from the Topper or Beezer and Topper or something. That era, anyway!

I agree. I'd rather have a reprint of Pup Parade on one of the pages than have two pages of jokes and drawings. Somehow I feel having two strips in the Bash Street pull-out makes it more of a pull-out than it was before.
I agree with Digifiend, the Pup Parade strip did look quite similar to the ones I've seen in Bash Street Kids annuals in the past, though I'd never seen them before. I don't mind having Pup Parade reprints because they've not been in the comic for a while, unlike the way that Ivy and Billy Whizz became reprints, and now Roger has.
The Dennis strip made me laugh when Dennis read the soppy birthday card!

does anyone know if when pup parade moved from beano to beezer & topper originally were they reprints or new stories in B & T as i have been reading the issues i got this week
Re: This weeks issue part 2..starting 15th June 2010
Pup Parade ended it's run in the Beano on 23/7/88, and was revived in all new episodes in the Topper on 14/7/89 and continued through the Topper merging into the Beezer in 1990.

just look at the great animation Gordon uses on Danny when he is pulling the comic out of the pups mouth..
or Pug walking up to Danny and dropping the chewed up comic in front of him...
these comic artists like Jim Petrie mentioned at my blog could have made good animators...
Anyway its great Pup Parade is back...I always loved them rolling on the floor with laughter pure joy..
I think its from Topper 89..90..the one in The Beano..as Bruce suggests..

The one in this week's Beano isn't from there then - wrong title header. Must be an 80s one from either Beano or Topper.Peter Gray wrote:This is from Beezer and Topper
