Brilliant news Harry Hill was one of the best strips in the last Dandy Revamp and I'm looking forward to seeing it return in The Beano.

This means Nigel Parkinson will be doing a lot of strips in the weekly Beano now as he already does Dennis and Minnie every week.

Harry Hill was Danny Baker's guest on his Five Live radio show yesterday.

It looks like Harry Hill is not becoming a regular strip in The Beano, he is instead going to be the guest editor of the Red Nose Day issue.

That was meant to be revealed in the next BeanoMAX. Advert from the inside back cover of the current issue (new issue out Wednesday):
You're sillier than Smiffy if you miss the next BeanoMAX
3 fab gifts
PLUS!
  • One Direction sign up Dennis!
  • David Tennant returns as Doctor Who!
  • The Beano All-Stars Band try to get to No.1 for Red Nose Day!
  • Revealed! The Beano's latest editor! Read it here first!
Smiffy: "It's our Red Nose Day Special! On sale Wednesday 27th February!"
Ed's Note: Wow! Smiffy's right! Call Teacher!
DCT won't be pleased, that article shouldn't have appeared before Wednesday when both MAX and the weekly were due to reveal it. And that's a new logo by the way. The kerning is tighter than ever before.

On the contrary, I'm sure DCT will be absolutely delighted with that coverage. And where do you think the Independent got the cover image from?

Like I said, it's the timing, not the fact it was covered at all. They printed the story too early.

Aren't newspapers supposed to break the news?

Thomsons would have sent them the press release knowing it'd appear before Wednesday. It's all cool.
