24-issue subscription for £25 from M&S

Post by SID »

Just gone and ordered the above subscription. It was just too good a deal to turn down.

Here's the web page: http://www.marksandspencer.com/beano-ma ... 11093501:s

Subscriptions are fantastic value. In this weeks issues of Beano (and most weeks) they have the 12 issues for £8 offer – which is superb value.

I buy the 9-year old nephew the annual 52-issue Beano subscription from DC Thomson so that he does not miss any issues.

For the 11-year old nephew I get him MOTD, but on a 26 issue subscription – still good value though.

You can actually get 12 issues of Radio Times for £1. That's even better value, although I will admit that their provision of humorous strips is somewhat niggardly. :)

Ah but you only get that when you do the Direct Debit deal.

Ongoing quarterly direct debit is actually pretty good value. Current full rate is £17 per quarter which keeps going after the first year unless you cancel, against £67.50 paid in advance then having to renew each year.

By comparison, it costs an absolute minimum of £110 per year in the shops at current rates, and that's not counting cover mounts and the Christmas edition.

Interesting. Got the voucher from M&S today and it says that the subscription is for 18 issues - not 24.

Will check website tomorrow.
