Kev F art exhibition in Kidderminster - June to July

Discuss or comment on anything relating to D.C.Thomson's second longest running comic. The home of Dennis the Menace. Has been running since 1938.

Kev F art exhibition in Kidderminster - June to July

KEV F
Exhibition of original comic art
Kidderminster library, June 10 - July 9 2006

Hi all,

I've set up my exhibition of my comic art at the library in Kidderminster (which is in Worcestershire, not Warwickshire. Who knew?) and I think it looks rather good.

I've had fun writing the captions to go alongside the artwork. Nearly three and a half thousand words worth. Not that I'm expecting anyone to read them, but if they do there's plenty there.

So, if anyone finds themselves passing near Kidderminster between now and July 9th, pop in to the library in the town centre and check out my exhibition, it's free. Memo to self, must take along a Comments book.

Also, if you can make it tomorrow (Saturday 10th) at around midday, we'll be having a wee opening. There'll be some free drink and I'll be meeting and greeting.

So that's:

Kidderminster Library
Market St, Kidderminster, Worcs.
June 10 - July 9, 10am - 4pm Mon - Sat, free.

PS: Do you have a library or art centre who wants a travelling exhibition? I hadn't thought of touring it, but it's there waiting to be seen. It is quite good, honest.

Kev F Beano art exhibition in Kidderminster - June to July

Double-booked already for tomorrow, Kev, or we'd be there.

Hope you pull the crowds, although I have heard whispers that there might be a soccer match on the box tomorrow that could create a quiet spell mid afternoon. As a Scot, I can't see why (PLEASE gawnae no' dae the Glesca thing again!)

Best of luck - break a pencil!
Wake up, smell the coffee, put on some toast...

Yes, the turnout was pretty poor. Given that I know no-one within 100 miles of Kidderminster, and the football started at 2.00, I spent my time talking to the local paper and posing for photos.

Exhibition looks good though. Next step, must remember to ask permission from The Beano (a small oversight, do you think they'll mind?)
