John Freeman has more info on his Down the Tubes site:
http://downthetubes.net/?p=34092

Here's the cover of this Wednesday's issue with the first new look and nice new logo. Price remains at £2.50.

Really? I'd say it was the exact opposite of Xtreme's cluttered covers.

Looks more like 2004 Dandy to me. They also recycled the 100% Funny tagline from the 2010 Dandy revamp.

I'm glad to see the issue number back on the cover. It was stupid that the only place the issue number was seen was on the previous issue's inside back cover.

Personally, I love the new logo and look.
Am a 'little' concerned that we might be seeing less strip content... the 'massive STORY inside' tagline sounds a bit ominous.. although I loved the longer stories that we have seen in the past (particularly the Kev F illustrated ones!). I was kind of looking for the "15 great comic strips inside' tagline... guess we will find out Wednesday!

That massive story would be the follow up to this week's issue. Dennis and the gang taking back control from Walter and his Dad.

Animated logo. Probably for use as an intro to original video content.

The website is referring to it as 'Beano'. For example 'Explore Beano' instead of 'Explore The Beano'.

No news about Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed. I wonder if it will go to CBBC or CITV. Since CBBC have shown all animated series of Dennis, but CITV recently had the sponsorship deal with DC Thomson and they publish the Thunderbirds magazine.

They also publish the Danger Mouse magazine, and that's a CBBC show (despite the original Danger Mouse being on ITV).

Anyway, no news about Unleashed YET (the Down the Tubes article does mention a TV show, but seems to forget we already know it's name). We don't have all the news yet. Seems they revealed some of the info about the relaunch early.

To be fair, Danger Mouse is produced by Fremantle, not the BBC and Thunderbirds is produced by ITV themselves.
