So the mini strips aren't axed after all. Good to know. Looks like there's no longer an official cover star then, if the long strip is always first and will be rotating characters, and Dennis is therefore on a random page each week.

The Christmas Special is scheduled to be out on 12th October, by the way.SID wrote:I can understand what Digi is saying but then again you can't mistake the Christmas Special as being part of the Beano brand.
However, I do miss the supersized specials of the 70s with the specially designed logos and where even the strips were presented differently compared to the weekly.

This years Beano Christmas Special is now available from WH Smith. I picked up my copy today! Like last year it contains all-new content.

It's not supposed to be displayed until next Wednesday. Ah well. An extra week's shelf life can't hurt I suppose.Ellis wrote:This years Beano Christmas Special is now available from WH Smith. I picked up my copy today! Like last year it contains all-new content.

no Beano..sub late...
Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation
I must admit that since I put in my sub early last week, I thought I may be getting my first issue by now.
Saying that, it may take DCT a few weeks for their admin wheels to turn.

I trust you guys have your subs by now? SID, if your's doesn't come by today, I would assume the sub starts with a future issue and just get this week's from the shop.
