Beano 2017 Annual Mis-print

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone here can help with a query that I have; I've done a load of searches on the web but can't find any information relating to this.

I bought a copy of the Beano 2017 annual just before Christmas from Amazon for my daughter and duly wrapped it up without reading it. Come Christmas morning, she unwraps, opens it up to read and for some bizarre reason inside is the Dandy 2017 annual! The front outside and inside covers are Beano - the rest is Dandy :o

Not being a Dandy fan she was pretty upset and we've since bought another copy for her to enjoy but I'm puzzled how this type of thing occurs and as I mentioned above, I can't find any other reports of this on the web anywhere. Does anyone here have any information on this and crucially - is it worth anything more than I paid for it? Is this a collectors item?

Many thanks for any insights and advice on what to do with this copy.

Printing error.

Stick it on eBay and hope for the best.

While I usually steer away from upside down pages, blank pages, incorrect colouring and the rest of the array of the weird and wonderful, this particular error sounds very attractive so, yes, put it on eBay with a £10 expectation rather than £100.

Surely just the one copy wasn't printed this way? Perhaps its like those three new fivers with the mini Jane Austen picture, a one-off sent out by DCT for someone to make their fortune with?

What happened in the end?

I certainly would have kept it.
