Big Eggo returns!

Post by Lew Stringer »

Big Eggo, the original cover star of The Beano makes an unexpected return to the weekly this Wednesday in a new series of mini-strips (inside the comic this time, not on the cover). I'm the writer/artist and it's an honour to work on such a classic character!

I can't recall ever seeing this contraction outside of the pages of novels set in Public Schools. This is not a criticism by the way, koollectablz, merely an observation. :)

Thanks folks. Over the years I've worked on a few of their characters that originated in the 1930s; Korky, Julius Sneezer, Keyhole Kate, Lord Snooty, and now Big Eggo! Thomsons produced some good characters that can work in any decade!
