I recently bought a secondhand Dandy comic dated December 27th 2003.
There are two Christmas Brain Duane strips, the first one where his mum seems to be skint (tiny presnts, taty wallpaper, chair and Christmas tree). Brain Dunae invents a weather machine but zaps a passing egg delivery plane instead of the clods, with the result of fried eggs falling. Someone who predicted it would snow fried eggs at Christmas gives him a wad of money and they have a Christmas dinner at the end.
The second strip , it has snowed (whereas in the other it didn't, which was the reason for the weather machine).
Duane only manages to get a tiny turkey and Christmas pudding. He uses his latest invention to make the food grow in size. However, it shrinks instead. So he shrinks him and his mum so the turkey and pud looks massive.
Were all the Christmas Dandy's like this in 2003, or was it just an error in the copy I've got?
