and you paid a lot less than the £150 the seller was originally listing it for!
You're right there!
Started at £150, dropped to £75 then £25. I asked him to confirm it was an original, not a copy, told him it would have to pass the 'sniff' test if I bought it, or it would be going back. Turns out he was a really nice chap, but I still gave it a good checking over. Happy with it, looked, smelled and tasted (only joking) right.
I know it's a bit late, but just got back from my high school reunion as we have all met up for the first time since we left high school back in mumble mumble mumble! The clue I will give as to why we met this year is that we are all the same age as Gnasher!
However, before I left, I had been given a batch of 27 Commandos and a Battle Picture Library and I also bought 35 other picture libraries of which four were Battle Picture Library series 2, two were War Picture Library series 2, a solitary Eagle picture library, 8 Football Picture Story Monthly and the rest were Commandos.
However a special mention has to go out for the Battle and War series 2 as they are in almost mint condition and not the find I normally expect in a charity shop.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
A few weeks ago, I had won a small bundle of issues from 1999 of the Dandy, but sadly most of the issues have had pieces taken out of the comics (probably for decoupage. )
I have made up for it by buying the entire year (all save for No . 2991) today for £12.32(ex. P+H)
Went to the book fair at the Royal National but spotted a flyer saying there was an ephemera fair across the road at the Holiday Inn. Not much there but I picked up...

Comic Cuts 520 dated 28/4/1900 and 528 dated 23/6/1900
At Covent Garden antique market I picked up 62 issues of Buddy for £20 and four Thomson story paper free gift booklets from 1937 for £13. Then leapt onto an old Routemaster bus and had a nice trip to Tower Hill.

My win over the weekend has become a better value win, with the additional purchase of the missing issue (No. 2991, which costs £2.99, the average cost of all the 1999 issues actually comes out a little over 12p per issue.
Also bought today, a replacement issue of Buster from 1970 (14/2/1970)
