COMMANDO DATES

Post by steelclaw »

I'm sure the dates of publications of Commando has been mentioned before, but how do I find out the Issue Numbers that were published around March 31st & April 7th 1973?
I've tried to work it out would Numbers 735 to 742 sound about right?

Looks like you was a month out then. Excellent work there from Vic Whittle getting all those issues scanned and dated, and with reprint numbers noted too.

He'll have an entertaining time for the next year with all the double reprints! Mind you the credits do now include the story's previous number(s).

Great link. I have been trying to get all the issues from 1982 and that site is a great resource in identifying cut of points between years of publication.

This page has been neglected...
http://britishcomics.20m.com/compics4.htm
Those issues have been or will be reprinted again this year.

This page has been updated though...
http://britishcomics.20m.com/Com2011.htm
And I see all four of this month's reprints are double reprints, as were April's and May's.

Yeah they're currently having a year-long 50th anniversary celebration with the first 12 stories being reprinted, along with "well remembered" classic stories - which will be even better remembered if they were read twice already!

I knew about the first 12 issues, but didn't realise the other recent reprints had appeared twice already as well, until I checked that page.
