I see it says "LUKE out for it". I think I know what's going on now. Like I said, the next issue after the announcement is the Christmas one. Guest edited by Mark Hamill perhaps? They've had celebrity guest editors a couple of times before.

Lucasfilm buying the rights to the characters leading to Multimilliondollar versions up on the Silver Screen....the technology is ready to do it justice.

Which in turn is now owned by Disney who also owns Marvel, the Muppets amongst other things and not forgetting Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - Walt Disney's first cartoon character (well he came before Mickey Mouse anyway).

Yes Sid the media is becoming sadly homogeonized...reall bland stuff that originated from the USA and which will eventually swallow up the whole planet....or at lesst most of it...

I am alright with all this as long as it does not have affect on the creativity/quality, ISPY. I certainly have no complaints with the Marvel movie and TV franchises (in fact I love them all).

With the Muppets, I can't comment whether or not they have suffered under their ownership as I haven't been watching their new "reality" TV series.

Strangely enough, though I am into Sci-Fi, I am not a great Star Wars fan. But I am looking forward to the new film this Christmas.

So much for the big news?!

Is anyone elses Beano's pages all screwed up?

Page 3 starts with the mini strips (King of the Ring etc)

The Bash Street Kids straddle page 10 and on it's opposite after the staples page 27.

The middle pages are just the single pagers Holly Wood and Bananaman.

Similarly, The usual page 3 is on page 11 followed by Dennis (Space Menaces)

I think ours has been folded up wrong!

Haha, using the same excuse as for the Three Bears reprint last week I see - Walter meddling. Thanks for sharing! From the sounds of it, the problem only affects subscriber copies.

So the good news is that a new strip is starting or is it about Star Wars or have I just missed something?

Lame... I think the big news was just "Mark Hamill is still a Beano fan", as mentioned on page 8. They over-hyped it for sure.

Today's Beano readers wouldn't have known that.
