Thank-you Lew - that's a great help.
Shame about the scans but, speaking personally, I'm happy enough to search out the book myself now that I have been made aware of it.

How does your home life affect your comic collecting?
Glad to see that collecting comics has yet to come between anybody's family relationships.
Money and space are the only problems I have to worry about although none of my friends understand my interest. Most of them never even read books though and I have quite a few of them too.

Well, well, well. I had no idea about Bob Monkhouse. He was already one of the few showbiz celebrities I had any time for - even more so now after reading these posts. Cannot wait to see his Tornado strip! Glad to hear he was into all kind of comics - maybe explains his involvement in the animated s...

I occasionally take my eye off the ball but keep seeing references to the BBC's use of Peter Gray's comic collection. When is the documentary due to be aired and on what channel? Notice that I haven't made provision for the probability that this programme may have already gone out on air ... the tho...

He probably only read war comics.

Nice one Lew.
Even then, I'll bet he just used to look at the pictures.

E-Bay Good or Bad ???
Yep. I am an Ebay fan too and find it is the best and most enjoyable way of building up collections, if you have the patience. 26pigs is also a most valuable resource and ideal for chasing up more specific issues for low prices. I have also visited 30th Century Comics a couple of times and find this...

Me neither. How wonderful! Thanks again for all your help guys. I love this forum! You're right, ColCool007 - the final panel is indeed a real gem, a fitting end to a first class story. Another favourite has to be "The Challenge" (No. 10). Full marks to the script writer for a stunningly accurate de...
