Re: So what comic related items did you get for Xmas then?
I had the Best of Battle and the Dandy/Beano Winter Games books. I knew I was getting them as I had to buy them myself and pass them on to relatives to "give" to me. This resulted in a situation I had`nt foreseen. At our large family gatherings we take it in turn to open gifts and scrutinise what ev...

Re: Anybody found any bargains in unexpected places?
Having had my interest in comics resurrected a few weeks ago I started to look round for bargains. So far I`ve bought "The Golden Years Of Adventure Stories" ( D.C. Thomson ) and "Sporting Supermen" by Brendan Gallagher from The Works bookshop in Telford for £3-99p each. Today I`ve bought a near mi...

Re: Hello!
I managed to get a copy of Classics from the Comics issue #158 from a larger WH Smith than the one I tried earlier. I could`nt believe, when I was reading the V for Vengeance story, just how adult and serious the content was. The introduction explained the ruthlessness of Nazi Germany and the horror...

Re: Hello!
Dear Digifriend,
Many thanks for your help, I`m going to head for the site now. however, I am reluctant to take out a subscription without trying the comic first. By this I mean I am more a fan of adventure stories than funnies, and I don`t know which way the comic is slanted.
cheers!
Don

Re: Changes in store for Crikey! magazine
I`ve only just regained my interest in comics after 20 years or so and read about Crikey! while surfing comic related websites. I had to go to Nostalgia and Comics in Birmingham to find issue 10 and was surprised to find they had no back issues. I was even more surprised to learn that Marvel, DC etc...
