Re: What's Your Favourite (from list provided)?
From that list, Commando for me as I still pick up a few issues here and there and the quality's still there.
Never been much of a humour title fan preferring the adventure and war titles. interesting to see what the poll produces.

Re: Nailing the Hammer Man
Ah well good and bad news, the larger WHS did indeed have Classics but as I'd been warned it was the new issue (#161) and a busy lunchtime prevented me trying the storeroom option. Still its a nice issue and has a fun episode of The Hammer Man so all not lost. I take it last issue's Hammer Man featu...

Re: New British graphic novels/comics
Certainly hoping that Rainbow Orchid is the success it deserves to be and ushers in a new era for original British GN's - I'm still wearing the T-shirt Garen so doing my bit! Thanks for the welcome chaps.
Eeek I've left it tight then, I did try my local WHS but no luck (its quite a small one) - there's a larger one I can try tommorrow so will give it a whirl, I like a challenge!

Re: Affording to buy Commando
I've really enjoyed re-discovering Commando's this last few years - yep I'm in the mid 40 age range! - but noticed the steady price increases from 80p/90p to current levels but that still represent great value amongst everything else today. I tend to only pick up the historical period ones as oppose...

Re: Nailing the Hammer Man
Hi all, finally joined this board after many a happy lurk! It was actually thanks to these boards that I was able to put a name to one of my unsung artistic heroes from The Victor Books, namely Ted Rawlings. Something about his style really captured my childhood imagination and years later when i've...
