Re: A way to stop the bad sales

Beano and Dandy merging? How utterly ridiculous.

Re: The best artists we never had

Little Plum by Hunt Emerson is even better. If you had been following up appropriately on tictak's post, you would have said Little Plum by Hunt Emerson would be even better . The fact that you didn't means that you were giving an opinion about strips you had already seen, which undermines and dist...

Re: Deleting Threads and Posts

It does however mean that we will be keeping records which we can use to report repeat offenders to ISPs if they keep returning after they have been banned. You can't do anything about that. Unless you're a lawyer and able to create legislation. Governments can't even control the internet, how are ...

Re: A note on users...

Well that's all the proof we need. Yanobandy/Comicsgalore is also Beandand on Wikipedia by the way. His edits there aren't exactly constructive either. By the way, I sent Harry (WizzKid97) a copy of that deleted thread in the form of quotes before it was removed. I assume the admins saved a copy, b...

Except that the beano would downright obliterate the dandy these days. Dandy = Plymouth Argyle, Beano = Manchester United.

As a certain deleted person once said, quality over quantity.
Can't we see the postcount image he posted up again? Certainly fits here and made me laugh!

I'm not quite comfortable reading Whizzkid's email correspondence with the editor. Not because of the content within more to do that he's publishing a private conversation. Would everyone be happy if all our PMs were posted on the forum?

Re: Drop the Celebrities from the Dandy Facebook Group

It has daytime repeats the next day. So yes, kids could watch it. Really? I didn't realise that. It must be re-edited for the earlier timeslot then. Some of what those 'celebs' get up to is bad enough never mind shown again during the day. Unless they show more of the Jedward, kids favourite. Actua...

Re: Drop the Celebrities from the Dandy Facebook Group

True, Ginger. The celeb name puns can be lost on some readers too. If people aren't into rap music, they may not spot that Tiny's Temper is a pun on Tinie Tempah. Same goes for Bear Thrills, whose name is a pun on Scout leader Bear Grylls. Some of the celebs featured in Harry Hill's strip - such as...

Re: Drop the Celebrities from the Dandy Facebook Group

With regards to celebrities in comics, if you don't like it, then don't buy it. Simple. The prob lem for me is that I buy the comic because my children and I both enjoy about half of it, but we're paying for a comic we only actually read half of. I just wonder how many other people actually don't b...
