Re: Complete Collections
I saw a load of the Alan Class printing plates at Kempton Park Antiques Fair a year or so ago but they were too heavy to buy the lot and probably too much money for me to spend on an unknown media.

Me too. I also have the pocket sized facsimile that you cut from the pages of Buster and folded. All black and white though.

The first ever Summer Special?
Is this 1915 Rainbow the first ever Summer Special? It has 24 pages and, unlike the normal weekly issue, is stapled. I'll try to find a normal 1915 issue to check the page count but I'd guess it had 8 pages.

Re: REWIND TV
I see they are repeating Fantasy Island and Married With Children from next week. Talking Pictures has finished The Beverly Hillbillies, I presume they could only show the episodes that were out of copyright, Rewind is now showing the series.

A quick question, how did they explain the departure of Barry Morse?

Deborah Makepiece was my favourite actress in Angels along with Julie Dawn Cole and Lesley Dunlop. Sadly Deborah died quite young.

They had a light show against Leeds at the Den last night. Lions fans showed their derision by booing all the way through it. Its just not us.

Re: Comics on TV
I always cringe at the way comics are carelessly handled on TV. I remember buying American comics in a shop in Pimlico and, as the newsagent squinted at the price, I could see his thumbnail digging into the cover. They could probably hear my teeth grinding three streets away.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Also via E Bay I bought my sought after Fireball XL5 comic anthology, Cost me an arm leg and kidney, but was worth it, worth every penny. Awesome artworks, even if the combined Anderson series strip is a let down in plot terms. Wondered what I was doing but you could get run down by a bus tomorrow....
