Re: Comics on TV

Watched an episode of Chips on Forces tv last night and it was a comic based episode. Elvira was in it as a comic shop owner and there were lots of American comic covers visible on spinner racks. The villain was Stanley Woods (played by Rich Little) who was the creator of Sea Thing (a Swamp Thing ty...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Those issues of The Hotspur are a real bargain, Steve. Well done! They are as rare as hens' teeth. The seller said he had twice that many earlier but had sold quite a few. I hope they weren't copies with Beano and Dandy #1 fliers inside. Mind you it was hard enough on the knees carrying the ones I ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I also got a 1984 Bugs Bunny Holiday Special for £1 just to index onto Grand Comics Database which I did th...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Not comics but three copies of Sporting News newspaper from 1863/4 in Deptford flea market for £1 apiece. They haven't been cut so fold out into one eight page sheet which can double as a bedsheet.

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

It was a new seller hub which looked like it had been created by someone on LSD. I've exited that but the classic eBay had gone and I'm going to have to get used to the new version.

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

I have three original 1947 newspapers reporting the wedding of The Queen and Prince Phillip but I won't be asking this much. And he's charging small parcel rate for items over 750g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Prince-Phillip-Vintage-Newspaper/333956757403?hash=item4dc15fb79b:g:yzQAAOSw9nBgdHif&redire...

Dc Thomson should publish list of characters' real names. I'd like to know Ginger's real name as well as Pop, Dick and Harry's.

Creepy or Eerie had a UK version for a short while. But they wouldn't be sci-fi.

I did consider that when I made my post. I don't remember the characters having real names until well into this century.
