The editor of the Beano was on Paul Ross's talk radio show between 4.30 and 4.50 this morning. Talking about Dennis's 70th anniversary. Paul Ross admitted to naming his daughter Hermione after Minnie the Minx.

Perhaps it's a Kelpie strip from an annual as the regular artists often didn't draw the annual versions of strips.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Wheel of Fortune on Challenge TV. This morning the bloke who presents the prizes was sitting in an armchair reading the Beano. A 1988 episode.

I enjoyed last night's final Hazell. Not only was it filmed here in Rotherhithe but Hazell bought his mate, hiding out from the police, some jellied eels and double pie and mash. Hazell hired a car and I recognised the car mart as the one just a few yards up the road from me.
