Re: Some interesting observations about collecting
I remember advising Colin Noble a charity shop in Dunfermline were selling Commando. He came back with many more, including non-Commando war libraries, Space Holiday Specials (which I was after) and the Red Alert wallet from 2000AD #3. All for a knock down price! D'oh!!

I always heard him in a Yorkshire accent for no particular reason. Definitely cannot hear him as a Londoner.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I sold a lot of my comics before I went to Africa to live. To be honest, the collection was so large that I had many I had never read, many that I had read and never needed to read again and a fair few that I didn't like. I enjoyed rebuilding the collection. I'm now at the stage again where I would ...

Re: Starlord UK 1978 IPC Comic
Along with Warrior, the greatest comics of their era. Outselling 2000AD too when they merged. Planet of the Damned probably my favourite, although Mind Wars and Timequake impressive.

Re: Question from from US(EastCoast)
Red Dagger collected stories from Hotspur. He was only in one issue but it was a cracking issue. https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_small/7/72648/1419074-reddagger20.jpg Quite often weeklies don't stand up when they are collected but this one did (as did Smasher - another one that appear...

Re: Best and worst logos
Worst? Must be Strip magazine. How dull can you get? A year or so before it, the designer actually criticised my logo for ComicScape. I'll leave you to judge which was worst: https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/uploads/scale_small/10/109303/2855261-strip_magazine_7_alt_cover.jpg https://image.isu.pub/...

Buddy - a stupidly under-rated adventure comic - and Marvel Team-Up (Seventies/Eighties version).

Yeah but people here don't really talk that much about 2000AD and other action comics (unfortunately, as that's my interest primarily).

Re: Commando Announcement
I suggested that years ago to Euan Kerr but, much as he liked it, he didn't think DCT would go down that line. Personally, I hope they don't stick to just WWI or II. Some classic characters from sci-fi, sport etc. would also be great but I can see there would be resistance.

Re: Returning after a few years break
It's old British comics here. 2000AD doesn't even get much of a look in, never mind the American stuff. TWD would only be of interest if it was the Topper, Wizard and Dandy.
