I see that some old annuals and comics were "Dandy Monster Comic".
What era was the term "Monster" used, and what were DCT trying to imply with this? Just that it was 'big'?
Thanks.

Great Flood of London?
Hi,
I've finally got round to subscribing to CFTC having missed lots of issues lately.
Can somebody tell me which issues had the 'Great Flood of London' in? I'll have to try and get back issues.
Did they reprint the whole series or just some of it?
Thanks.

The Beano Book 1940 Facsimile
Did it ever get released? If so, it's unavailable on Amazon now - which is strange 'cos the Dandy one that came out much earlier IS still available.
Hope I haven't missed it!
Cheers.

On a (slightly) related note ... does anyone know if Aurum are going to follow up their 'Dandy' and 'Broons' titles from last year for this years Xmas market (maybe the next annuals or another title like the first 'Hotspur' or 'Beezer' book or something like that?) Amazon list the facsimile of Bean...

It's in XVID format. Try Googling for and installing the XVID codec.
Or try playing it with VLC Player which I think negates the need to get the XVID codec.
It is playable. I've played it myself.

Any probs let me know.
I think there's a few secs missing at the start, which is unfortunate, but it wasn't me who made the recording.

I've got "Happy Birthday Broons" (30mins, BBC Scotland) which aired around Xmas 2005. If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll make it available for downloading.
