Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation

Looks good, I agree with Digifiend that the cover kinda reminds me of the 2004 Dandy revamp.

Look forward to seeing what's inside.

Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation

Very random and kind of adds a creepy dimension to a strip in one of the Dennis annuals that showed Minnie and Dennis as married with children in a possible future.

Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation

The unknown is actually making it quite daunting now.

Although there have been changes and I accept things do move on, The Beano at it's core has been the same comic for decades now. I just wonder how much will change.

I'm sure it will be great but I can't wait to find out. :)

Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation

Hasn't that been ruled out already and anything that is going to be online will be in addition to the printed comic? I found this article that says Dennis will also be getting a new TV show as part of the revamp. http://www.sundayworld.com/style/showbiz/beano-s-dennis-the-menace-to-be-the-star-of-ne...

Re: Look like David Sutherland is doing less of the Bash Str

I wonder if David Parkins is the permanent replacement for David Sutherland though if he has retired.

With the revamp coming could there be more changes in store for Bash Street?

Re: Beano to get CGI revamp for YouTube generation

You can tell that Bananaman was meant to be 2 parts as it's obvious the way the first page ended that it was meant to be a cliffhanger for the next week. One of the first signs the revamp is imminent maybe? Steve Bright could have drawn one too many Bananaman strips and they don't want the first iss...

Re: Cuddles & Dimples to return....

Having a combined Beano and Dandy would be the next best thing to The Dandy returning for me.

I actually hope this happens!!!

Would this current Dennis the Menace storyline have anything to do with the revamp?

Or readers from my era (the 90s-00s) to be fair.

I wonder if we'll get any clues in the Beano during the next few weeks about this news or if we will definitely have to wait until March?

Re: Asterix Latest Book

I bought Asterix and the Picts a couple of years ago out of interest. To be fair it was a good 1st book by the new creative team, not as good as the Goscinny/Uderzo books but definitely well worth a try. According to Amazon their next new book Asterix and the Missing Scroll is out later this year. h...

Re: Beano No 7 on Ebay

Thank you Adam

I've never heard of that site if I'm being honest but I will take a look through it, I also noticed Beano No1 (is it the original?) on there as well as a few early Dandys.

Beano No 7 on Ebay

I've been away for a while but I'm back now with a new thread!!! Was just looking through ebay today and found that Beano No 7 is on sale for £950.00. Being as rare as the early Beano comics are this is quite a find and I wish I had £950.00 spare to buy it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Beano-...

Re: the Beano no.3800! World Record Collectors issue!

Fame is so ephemeral, isn't it Peter? The euphoria will only last one week at which point issue 3801 will break that record, which will be broken again seven days later, and so on until the end of time, or until the last issue of The Beano , whichever comes first. No wonder they are using blue! :) ...
