Re: Mail on Sunday special issue

I've been told the readership is getting younger so it looks like they are aiming to appeal to that audience. Doesn't make sense to me, because this younger readership was surely attracted by the current content and will quickly grow out of it if they aim younger. It's frustrating that they keep on ...

Re: Mail on Sunday special issue

I'm afraid I've been taken off Ball Boy, so this looks like what you'll get in the very near future. My last episode has a robot and the history of the football ball in it. Apparently my iteration wasn't going down well with the readers. Bah!

Re: Baby Face is back

Doesn't really answer my question, unfortunately. And anyway, it's too late now as the strip has been sent off to the Beano. He talks now. One word.

Re: Baby Face is back

I need help with this Baby-Face Finlayson question! Could Goo-Goo McGoo speak? Or did he go Mmmmgpmh, or perhaps never said anything? I need to get this detail right for the strip I'm drawing currently.

Re: This weeks Dandy

Shame they mixed his story up. Dinosaurs were an opponent of Strang the Terrible, not Morgyn. Probably got mixed up because both strongmen were in early Beanos. I think it's time we all accepted that the amount of deep and sincere analysis which can sensibly be performed on Alexander Matthews' scri...

I had Nuke reading the Dandy because he appears in the Dandy. You really shouldn't apply logic to Nuke!

Re: Dandy Annual 2013

I won't be doing anything for it either. The Dandy are going for a very retro annual for the 75th anniversary this year-I've seen some of Wilbur's pages and they are superb-a brilliant tribute to strips of the past, with a kind of knowing edge to the writing.

Re: Latest Circulation Figures June11 to Dec11

Gosh's old location by the British Museum was easy to get to. i agree about their new location-it's really tough to find. I've been there three times and I am still getting maps out on my iPhone to find the place. Nice new shop though. I am pleased to hear that The Dandy has leveled out a bit, altho...

Re: The Lash Street Old People

I was looking through the same annual not long ago. I have a complete collection of Oink! stashed in a cupboard at my parents house, which pleases them no end. The best humour comic I ever read, and the comic that inspired me to be a cartoonist. That strip is indeed the work of Les Barton, who sadly...
