Re: Gnipper
Thanks. I did manage to get it eventually from Sainsbury's whilst doing my shopping. They only had the one though. Yeah, I wanted it to be a longer strip too. My local shop didn't have the new Beano on Wednesday, so I asked them and they said it would be in on Thursday. It wasn't and it still isn't....

Has it been delayed?

Gnipper
I love the current Tom Paterson Dennis storyline where Gnipper got but and his only hope is his sisters being found.
Only bought it yesterday, so only have to wait until tomorrow for part 2.

Re: Beano/Dandy playing cards.
As unlikely as it may seem, a clothing store is selling Beano and Dandy merchandise (though not the Boots range)! Peacocks is selling a Desperate Dan mug at 6pound and Gnasher bottle openers at 3pound I think, plus omsething else I can't remember.

Re: Christmas Classics?
Thanks everyone. I always love the back cover colour strip, I save it till last, just like I did whenever there was a colour strip in Big Comic (back cover usually instead of an ad I think). But why not put The Broons and Oor Wullie in Classics? I know technically their not from comics, but Oor Wull...

Re: Beano/Dandy playing cards.
I'm sure I've seen these in the Manchester Arndale Boots store. They also had a range of other Beano Dandy stuff, including pens, but I've forgotten what the other stuff was. My sister was lookin at them and said "Why don't you buy them?" as she knows I like comics.

Re: Which Annuals Did You Buy?
Sorry, I meant to say Shudehill. But it's still not too far from Deansgate. I'm not sure of the name of the shop, I'll let you know when I go there again. Think they are from the eighties, but there could be others. Possibly Paramount Books if it's still called that? A big shop selling mostly secon...

Re: Which Annuals Did You Buy?
But there is a shop in Deansgate that is currently selling Beezers, Beanos and other comics for 50p each. It might not be that cheap, but it is compared to the one in Piccadilly which is now beyond a joke in it's pricing. Which shop's that? And how old are the comics? Sorry, I meant to say Shudehil...

Re: Which Annuals Did You Buy?
It's a shame ther isn't as big a selection of annuals as there used to be, Desperate Dan, Buster, Whizzer And Chips, Beezer, Topper etc. But there is a shop in Shudehill that is currently selling Beezers, Beanos and other comics for 50p each. It might not be that cheap, but it is compared to the one...

Christmas Classics?
I don't get Classics often, and I don't have a stockist near me (Salford shopping "city"), so my nearest is Manchester Arndale (WHSmiths). Is this months Classics a Christmas issue (I like Christmas comics best) and have I missed the December one?

Re: Which Annuals Did You Buy?
I got all of the above today in Waterstones Kendal today, for £1.50 each, except for the Bash Street Kids annual- which I haven't actually seen anywhere this year. Still, not bad at all, eh? Why buy before Christmas....? Unless of course you've got kids expecting them on Christmas morn.... Waterst...

Which Annuals Did You Buy?

I got The Dandy Annual, The Beano Annual, The Beano And The Dandy Comics In The Classroom, The Bash Street Kids, Dennis The Menace Annual, The Broons And Oo...

Re: The Christmas Beano
£2.50, and 48 pages. Content as yet unknown. Thanks. I was hoping it would have double the pages in, but never mind. I'll still buy it. Content not completely unknown; there is a huge 16 page story about the Bash Street kids saving Christmas that is so new, the ink is barely dry! I like The Bash S...

Re: The Christmas Beano
How many pages is The Christmas Beano? What price is it?
How many reprints, and how old are they?
I will be getting it anyway, just nice to know (I don't mind old reprints I haven't read).
